Meet Patrice

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. In 1994 I earned my Master of Social Work degree is from Syracuse University with a concentration in Family Mental Health and Women’s Studies. In 2009 I completed the Certificate Program in Trauma Counseling through the University of Buffalo Continuing Education Department and am certified by O.A.S.A.S. as a DWI Assessor and Treatment Provider. My undergraduate degree is from the State University of New York at Binghamton..

Through my work in community agencies, I provided therapy to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, substance abuse, parenting and relationship issues, life transitions and grief and loss. I have experience working with individuals from the age of 5 years old to adult.

It takes strength and courage to reach out for help when faced with challenges in your life. I have great respect for those who do. Since we are all unique individuals, it is important that I tailor your treatment meet your needs. There are many ways to instill hope and create change. You identify what brings you to treatment at the current time and together we develop a plan to meet your goals.

Because of individuality, I have an eclectic approach to treatment. I possess a wealth of professional knowledge combined with life experiences that enhance my therapeutic style. The frameworks I utilize in my approach to therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Psychoanalytical Approach, and Solution Focused Therapy. To provide you with the best possible therapy, I continue to keep up to date with new information and strategies. I am also aware of community resources and make referrals, when necessary.
